Hello! My name is Divij Garg, and I'm currently a senior in Mathematics department,
graduating from the College of LAS in May 2026! I have been a member of Illinois Model
United Nations for my entire collegiate career, and have had the privilege of working
with
all the dedicated general body members that have made this conference possible.
This year I am honored to be serving as your Secretary-General for MUNI XXVIII.
In my years at MUNI, I have directed the United Nations Development Programme, United
Nations Economic and Social Council for the Pacific, and co-directed our very first
Ad-Hoc of the Secretary-General. Through each experience, I have learned the value of
attention to detail, public speaking, and strong communication skills. Our organization
has spent months curating exciting and challenging committees for our delegates, and we
cannot wait for everyone to experience them.

Toluwalase Akinosun

Hi, my name is Toluwalase Akinosun, and I am a junior majoring in Economics with minors in
Business and Gender and Women's Studies. This is my first year being involved with Illinois
MUN and Model UN in general and I am excited to serve as the Under Secretary General of
Logistics.
Outside of MUN, I am on the conference committee for Women of Color's annual conference. I
am also a member of Econ club and Women in Economics (Wiecon). Outside of school I love
baking, reading, listening to music and thrifting. I also binge watch a lot of tv and I love
Musicals. I also enjoy working with kids and volunteering as a Sunday school teacher at my
church back home. I hope you have a great time at MUNI XXVIII and make memories to keep
forever!
Allen Tang

Hey! My name is Allen Tang, and I'm currently a senior majoring in Political Science. I've
been involved with Illinois MUN for the past year. I am honored to be serving as your USG of
Registration.
Outside of MUN, you can find me in the Southern Arboretum Woodlands helping out Red Bison
with ecological restoration. I enjoy following the NBA and NFL (Warriors and 49ers). I look
forward to seeing and meeting so many of you in Champaign this April!
Shreya Desai

Hi! My name is Shreya Desai, and I'm currently a freshman majoring in Psychology and
minoring in Spanish and Public Health. I'm from Naperville, Illinois, and I've been involved
in Model UN since my freshman year of high school. I'm super excited to serve as your
Under-Secretary General of Committees this year!
Outside of MUN, I'm involved in Best Buddies at Illinois, our program to support the special
needs community here, the Society of Women in Public Affairs, and other psych-related
organizations! I love live music, spending time with my friends, horror movies, and baking.
I look forward to meeting all of you here in Champaign at MUNI XXVIII!
Tony Calderon

'27 | Earth, Society, and Environmental Sustainability
Hey there! My name is Tony Calderon, I'm a junior majoring in Environmental Sustainability
with a concentration in Earth Science, as well as minoring in Geography and GIS. I have been
involved with Model UN for years now, mostly at my old community college and have found it a
rewarding experience that offers personal development and memorable experiences. Now I look
forward to my new opportunity to serve as the USG of Rules/Regulations this year!
Outside of MUN, I love to search for other new opportunities and experiences, such as
becoming a lifeguard here on campus and being active in other Registered Student
Organizations, such as the Students for Environmental Concerns and the Beekeeping Club. Besides
being an active participant on campus, I enjoy learning languages, keeping aquariums, going
to the gym, and just treating the world like my playground to explore. I look forward to
helping you all make your own memorable experiences this MUNI XXVIII!
Tyra Oghomeh

Hello! My name is Tyra Oghomeh, and I am currently a sophomore majoring in political science
and on a pre-med track. This is my first year in MUN and I'm excited to be serving as the
USG of Materials and Design. In addition, you might spot me taking pictures and videos for
our social media page.
Outside of MUN, you might catch me walking on the quad to my political science, chemistry,
and biology classes. For fun, I enjoy shopping, eating, and going to the gym (work in
progress). I look forward to an amazing MUN experience with you all!
